Think
Again takes a close-up look at Radio 1—the
people responsible for 15 years now of outstanding programming that
avoids the usual parade of sameness that radio stations all over
the world seem so intent on serving up. Radio 1 has
carved a niche for itself with a constant stream of quirky, thoughtful
selections of music of all styles that has exposed lucky listeners
to generations of great (and not so great, but still fun) artists.
The name of the game has been quality and subversiveness, and it’s
a game that Radio 1 has played to near-perfection.
We’ll also be taking a look in one of our two book reviews
at a fascinating look at the Bromley Contingent and their hangers-on
as exposed in Bertie Marshall’s memoire. Jonty Skrufff gives
a piece of his mind on music and his music magazine Skrufff. All
of this and a lot more including the usual movie, food, art, and
cd reviews await you in these pages, so find a nice spot outside
on some grassy knoll and enjoy! |
